Dr. Robin Pierucci is a board-certified neonatologist and pediatrician with a master’s degree in bioethics. Her clinical rotation at a level 50 bed III NICU began in 2000, where she was also the medical director for 17 years. Dr. Pierucci led and was involved in multiple performance improvement projects including, care for opiate exposed neonates and improving neurodevelopmental outcomes through decreasing painful stimulation. Dr. Pierucci also is a clinical assistant professor at Western Michigan University Homer-Stryker School of Medicine. She has multiple publications in peer and non-peer reviewed journals and has spoken nationally and internationally on multiple perinatal and ethical topics.
In 2024 Dr Pierucci “retired” from full-time work in the NICU and months later founded Navigating Fetal Concerns, a service devoted to accompanying parents who have received a prenatal diagnosis. She also has become the Director of Health Care Initiatives at Voices for the Voiceless. Dr Pierucci is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Catholic Medical Association, an associate scholar with the Charlotte Lozier Institute, and on the Board of Directors for the American College of Pediatricians where she is the co-chair of the pro-life committee.
